Summary

The Rio Salado Cleanup was an absolute blast!  Located in south/central Phoenix, this little known oasis was beautiful and in need of a little TLC.  We were so grateful to team up with the City of Phoenix and tackle this ongoing project together.
This cleanup was particularly important because the aim of Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area is to "restore the native wetland and riparian habitats of the historic Salt River, which once flowed year-round through Phoenix". With the help of 230+ volunteers, we were able to make a great impact for good in this area.
Lastly, check out this awesome video ASU student Melanie Porter put together!
